Default driveability issue with windstar intake swap

Hi, i just finished up the windstar intake swap, car starts great and idles, but as soon as i give it gas, it stutters and pops, and seems very sluggish if i drive it. I know it takes time for the computer to re learn everything so is this normal or is there another problem???

Is the check engine light on at all? And did you leave the battery disconnected while you were doing it?

It shouldn't misfire or run extremely rough at all.

Did you miss any vacuum lines? What did you do about the EGR setup?

checked all the vacuum lines, kept the egr, used the windstar bracket and had to bend the egr pipe a little but it worked...

Then you need to check for vacuum leaks next. Start the car, and spray carb cleaner throughout the intake and all vacuum lines. What did you do about the IAC?

You know I was about to suggest looking at your plug wires, lol

Well its usually the dumb things that get you. When I first did mine, I had the IAC on backwards, well it idles about 3000 rpm's when you do that!

Glad it worked out for you, do you plan on using a GT hood scoop or are you getting a different hood?
