Default can my engine/rearend hand new exhaust, hoodscoop and supercharger

Hi, I've had my mustang for over 6 or 7 months now and I'm trying to save some money to add some power to it. I have a completely stock 2000, and before I spend what little money I have on parts I just want to know if I should do anything to prepare my car the new horse power. I was thinking the first thing I was gonna do is to get new headers and exhaust which I'm pretty sure my engine can handle hahahaha but if I do end up adding more stuff on like hoodscoops and a supercharger would I need to do anything to in preparation for the new additions? any help would be... helpful haha I'm kinda new to the whole working on cars thing hahahaa.

If your going to add a SC I would upgrade the rear end because your stock isnt going to hold up to the extra torque. Dual exhaust would be a nice start, but dont expect big power gains with it, it might free up about 5 hp but thats about it. When i was asking questions about my v6, most everyone agreed that steeper gears and a custom tune would make a big difference for the least money.

yeah thats what I've been hearing. I have a 5 speed and I've read several times that I would need 7.5" but what do you mean by steeper gears.. I have an idea but I just want to be sure. Theres no fun if you just take it to the shop and have someone else do all this work on your car, I want to do as much of it as I can on my own so I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I really start any big projects.

so would the 4.10 gears work for my car.. I just found them real quick to see if I understand what your saying with the steeper gears thing.

You have 3.27 gears stock, so moving to a steeper/taller gear (3.73 or 4.10) will help the car accelerate faster. The ring and pinion gears have a different amount of teeth on them so it changes the way the car accelerates.

So with steeper rear end gears, the wheels turn less per every driveshaft revolution. It sounds tricky/opposite at first. haha

There is more work from the engine (rpms) going into each rotation of the rear tires. It multiplies the torque from the engine, so this is why it accelerates faster.

nevermind hahaha I did some research and discovered the 7.5" is the differential. I think I'm starting to understand how my whole rear end works.

And generally hood scoops are aesthetic in nature and offer little but drag..
