hey i have some questions about getting my car tuned. i have a 2001 v6 with intake, exhaust, and diablosport tuner. i want to get a torque converter, 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears, and nitrous. im wondering if i should take my car to a place to get tuned or just use my handheld one. i dont know much about getting my car tuned at a place so any info would be great. please include my options and estimates of how much it will cost. thanks

Those 3 places are diablosport dealers, not sure if they do dyno tune services or not, I would call them.

Having an actual person that knows what they're doing will always be able to make more power then a mail order tune, and if you aren't too sure what your doing, then a good tuner will be the best choice.

Every place is different, if you have a tuner already, then I would guess between 200-400 for dyno time and the tune. If you don't have a tuner yet, then it could go up to the 6-800 range.

I agree that a dyno will be better but for those mods the tuner should work fine..

i dont think it works with the torque converter. would i be able to get the converter tuned seperatly and still keep my diablosport tuner downloaded?

Torque convertors for your tranny are expensive. A j-mod is the way to go for now. Cheap, easy to install, and worth the cost. A dynotuner changes your tune to handle the kick of the nitrous or your motor will go boom.......

they have a converter on sale at monstertransmissions.com right now for $400. i think thats a pretty good deal, and iv herd good things about that company. ya i herd jmod is a really good, cheap, upgrade
