Default Firing order on 2000 Mustang V6

Just change plugs and wires on 2000 V6 and thought I got the correct firing order as I disconnected 1 at a time. The diagram shows:

front 1 2 3 back
4 6 5

but when I start, car shakes and service engine light comes on. Is this the correct order?

i think its front 465 back 123

but if you did them one at a time, the shakeing dont make sence.

u gapped plugs right?

make sure all connections are good
if one boot is off that plug isint fireing

so make sure all connections are tight!

Thanks. The plugs are Bosch Plat + 2 and pregapped but it seems Auto Zone sold me the wrong wires. Tried with the old wires but the may be damaged at this point. Will replace tomorrow, but to get the order right - front to rear, passenger side to drivers side 3-2-1-4-5-6 for plug order and 3-2-1-4-6-5 for the coil order?

yea could be wrong wires, when you snap the plugs wire on to the plug you should feel it click.

The wires were wrong. Replaced yesterday and runs fine. Thanks. By the way, the confusion on the locations is that it appears my coil is set up in reverse from your picture. It did have them numbered though and went smoothly.
