98 Mustang speedometer issues... I have a 98 Mustang that has a speedometer with a mind of it's own. Rarely it works, sometimes it gets stuck on 80, sometimes it goes all the way to the left and other times all the way to the right. When it gets stuck on 80 I can tap the dash and it will work for a very short time before returning to 80. Do I need to replace the whole cable or is there a gear at the dash that needs replaced? Also, any advise on how to get to it would be greatly appreciated.

could be something stupid like the needle getting stuck thats what happened to me.

took the glass out and lifted the point of the needle slightly and problem solved still works and its been 3 yrs since I did it.
