Default Performance Cats

I am about to have duel exhaust put on my 99 stang. I already have the longtube headers and flowmaster 40's. But i dont want a crap cat reducing the sound of my stang..Now where i live i dont need to pass emission.. I was wondering what brand of high flow cats should i get or if i should just by some cats and punch them out. I know i will need the converters on the car to pass inspections..Thanks guys

SLP and Pypes make some High Flows. I haven't heard anything bad about them.

No I live in a pretty rural place in PA and we dont need to pass emisson but in order to pass Vehicle inspection we need to show that we have converters. They dont actually check to see if they work. But yea thanks

I believe that you can find fake cats on Ebay that are already hollowed out. Otherwise, just look for the cheapest aftermarket cats you can find that have the correct tubing size and hollow them out yourself before installing them.

Or you could hollow out your stock ones. No sense in buying aftermarket if you're just going to punch out the internals! My buddy did this to his Mitsu Eclipse exhaust and he said it was a PITA!
BTW, I live in stupid PA, too, so I understand you're emissions agony!!
