Default 2002 mustang v6 help

I have a 2002 v6 mustang and would like to know what i can do to it to increase performance. I am very new to this and any input would be very helpful. the only thing that has already been done by me is I had a custom muffler shop put on straight pipe duals from the cat to the back. I was told this would help with the performance, but I have not noticed anything so far. What would be the top 3 most cost effective mods to do that would get me the most performance? I regret to say that I do not have a lot of money to start with, but am willing to save up for any mods? Thanks.

If you want to add some good performance start with the basic bolt ons: Cold Air Intake, Underdrive Pulleys (preferably Steeda), throttle body, and x-pipe or h-pipe since you already have a catback exhaust system.

Good luck and a good place to get these mods at is on

www.americanmuscle.com

They're top of the line when it comes to mustang performance!

Good Luck!

^ a throttle body is useless on a stock motor.

a few good upgrades would be cai, a tuner, udp's, and gears/tlock would be a great improvement.

for 05+ V6 mustangs, cai's and tuners are often available together as a combo because the 4.0L engine responds so well to those mods together, better than the 3.8 does.

tuner/cai combos arent popular for the 94-04 3.8L stangs.

I want it to be a drag car eventually, but for right now it is my daily driver, I want to mod it for the street, but eventually a drag.

K&N is a good brand. They have drop in filters that you can find at any auto store. K&N also has the full intake system, but it's pretty pricey. Places like americanmuscle.com or ebay have generic versions that are much cheaper and work just the same.
