Actually, there should be NO debate on this subject. People that bought a V6 car should just realize that it makes little sense to try and put a V8 in it and they also need to realize they can build a very respectful car for a decent price. It's mostly the morons that already own the V8's that come in here preaching that ruin it for the rest of us.

If I had a 96 or older V6 I would consider those worth swapping only to a 5.0L motor since that particular swap is not nearly as brutal as trying to do the 4.6L swap in the 97+ cars. Otherwise, I have FAR more respect for Shinerstang and what he as done compared to 99.99% of the V8 boys that spent more money and still can't beat him, lol.

Hi.
Great comments from everyone, good to hear other ideas!

Give Shinerstang credit, takes a lot of determination and hard work to get the results he has. But I'll bet he's learned a lot along the way.

Anyway, I think everyone needs to assess their own personal situation and goals before jumping into a project they may regret later on.

Happy motoring,
John

I've come to my decision. I will save up for the reman 1994 3.8. It won't take much work to swap it in and will give me a clean slate. I just want a little more out of the engine. i'll do some easy bolt ons at first and work my way up to some better mods. this way i can keep my budget (which is wayyyyy to low to get my hopes up) and still have a quick car to have fun in. Thanks everyone for all of your input.
