^How many H-pipes do you have?!?! jk.. lol

I say that you probably have 200-203hp at the crank and 165rwhp(auto) or 175rwhp(manual). Those are just guesses of course. What kind of mods are you planning on doing next??? Performance or looks?? I would say that you have more than enough looks mods... lol

OP, I just realized that this thread is your thread... I fail sometimes... lol

For $700 I would suggest a tuner and then it depends on what you goals are for the car. Have you done any suspension work? What kind of drive-train do you have?

i want the car to be a daily driver that i take to the track once a month and maybe even beat a few gts and other v8s and im done with the looks part , i got all that body work because my dads old friend gave me a discount since i just turned 16 and the car looked like every other mustang. i have stock drive-train and suspension all i have preformance wise is CAI and h-pipes, gt take offs, magnaflow mufflers. and im going to order the sct tuner from americian muscle next week, should i get the preloaded tuner or the custom one?

A custom tune is always better than a generic tune. Do you have manual or auto??

Their is a very detailed write-up of how to do a Windstar upper intake swap floating around here. Look through the pages or search for it. Stalkerstang wrote it. I forget the thread title but search for it and it should answer all of your questions, it is not a hard swap if you just take your time or have a semi-knowledgeable friend help you out.

N o, you use the upper manifold off a 96-98 Windstar and you'll need more parts and some fabricated parts as well. If you want a bolt-on kit to do it then VAP is the best source as the kit they sell is perfect for someone that can do some work on cars but is not able to create parts that will be needed. And I don't care what anyone says, the VAP kit to me is the best way to do it since nothing needs to be mickey moused and you will be able to use the stock hood without surgery.

Default Modding opinion

i'd like to add to the windstar idea. although I didnt go the VAP route, I did notice a wake-up on my car once I finally bit the bullett and did mine. I dont know if the write up on this board is the same as the one I found and used but it was worth it to me. I noticed a difference even though most of the difference is probably all in my head

good luck with modding. whatever you do, research the crap out of any modding job before you start and make sure you are aware of all the complications you might run into. I do this myself and everything I have done has still taken longer than what I anticipate.

I thought that with the VAP kit you had to use a different hood or cut a hole in the existing hood??

OP, the Procharger is good for that power. 340hp is starting to push the stock internals though so be careful of anything after that.

The VAP kit uses a remote IAC hookup, and there is an extension on the TB so you can use the stock hood. I personally don't like the way the VAP TB extension looks, but to each his own. I did mine on my '01 because I have the Corba R hood, so I didn't have to relocate anything. I just had to extend my IAC wires. My total cost was around $40.00 including the intake and TB......

Some of the SC kits come with a programmer. So if you buy it now, you can take that cost off of the kit later on......
