Default v8 into v6 shell?

I'm getting a 2002 v6 mustang with no engine. what will all need to be done for a successful swap to 4.6L ?

well you could put a carbed in and not worry about computers and such which would be easier but you wont pass emissions or you could go efi which will be difficult and more expensive but you will be able to pass emissions.

The depends greatly on the state. Some states will look for the factory emissions system to be as it should be on a 2002 V6 car. It against federal law to remove or alter the emissions controls on any vehicle so you need to be mindful there. I know that in Massachusetts where I was born and raised they will not only fail your car but they are supposed to call in the state police who will declare your car and title as off road only and you will have to properly repair it before it would ever be allowed to be registered in that state. I cannot speak for other states though. Even cars that do not have to pass emissions are still supposed to have all required factory emissions controls installed and working. It's just that most inspection techs either don't care or can be bought off cheap enough.
