I have a 2002 Manual V6 that is making a weird squeaking/chirping noise. The noise seems to have something to do with the clutch pedal or clutch in general, but I am not sure. I have noticed that if I add just a little bit of pressure to the pedal the sound sometimes goes away completely. It also tends to happen in idle and low gears. Any suggestions on what this may be and what it would take to get it fixed?
A bearing huh? That doesn't sound too good. Do you think it is something that I can let slide for now or should I get it fixed ASAP? sorry, but my knowledge of cars is limited right now.
The car is just around 52,600 as far as mileage goes. Now I was having some issues with the car about a year ago, and took it into one of the Ford dealerships, and I could have sworn that they had replaced the clutch... Was around $650.00 if I remember correctly...I will have to dig around for the repair info to make sure that it was actually the clutch that was replaced. And if it was the clutch that was replaced, then I am going to go cry in the corner... Don't get me wrong, I know I have ground the gears a few times here and there, but man... Any one know of any quality Mustang repair shops in Las Vegas that I won't get bent over at???? I did purchase the car through Drivetime, so that could explain a few of the issues I've had... If not 95% of them

just go back to the dealership with your VIN.
they keep a very accurate record of all repairs they've done on your vehicle, you dont have to hunt down your RO.
I have requested the information from the dealership, but they have been slow at getting back to me. Once I find out I will let you guys know.
just go there in person, and talk to one of the service writers.
they can type your VIN into the computer and tell you every repair they've ever done to your car in a matter of seconds.
they should be able to do it over the phone, as well.
