I have a 96 mustang and someone smashed my passenger side mirror. Only the glass is damaged.

I ordered the replacement mirror assembly but need instructions on how to replace the mirror.

would I be able to just pop in the glass mirror? Or would I have to remove the existing assembly and put in the new one?

any help is appreciated. thanks!

Ive honestly never had to do it myself, but from what ive heard its easier to replace the whole thing, pretty sure it wont just pop right in, but i could be wrong

i cant say 100% for sure because i havent personally taken off mine before, but every make/model car i've ever replaced the glass on, the glass popped right out.

just be carefull when doing it, it's held on by (usually 4) plastic tabs and they always want to break.
