Default 2004 Mustang 3.9 V6 Timing

Can anyone tell me how to adjust (advance) the timing on 3.9 2004 mustang? Is it done electonically? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Get a handheld tuner. I have a SCT X3 and a 93 octane tune from Justin at VMPtuning. With the 93 octane tune, he adjusts the timing to increase power. I'd say i gained about 15-20 hp with the tune.
