Default cyl. 5 missfire. help!

hello, i have an 03 v6. i keep getting a cyl.5 missfire code along with above 1000k missfire code. so far i have replaced the plugs, replaced the coilpack, replaced all spark wires, and the cam syncronyzer with still the same problem. it only occures under load or if im cruising under 2000k, if i floor it or if i'am cruising at highway speeds it dosnt act up as bad. will kinda backfire/hiccup at times and then take off like nothing is wrong, other times it bogs down so much it seems like its just going to quit on me, then it picks up again. i have noticed that i barely have any exhaust comming from the drivers side tail pipe. would a pluged up muffler cause this?

pull the number 5 plug and see what it looks like. while your there make sure your new wires are connected properly and not against the manifold or anything that could cause them to melt and arch

A plugged cat can do that along with a clogged fuel filter or a bad injector. I agree with greenmoney, check the plug and tell us what it looks like compared to the others.

wires are all good. plug looked fine. i have no cats so thats ruled out. changed fuel filter about 6 months ago. injector sounds like the next thing im checking. is it possible i messed up the timing when i changed out the cam syncro? if so can i reset it or does it need to be hooked up to somthing? here are the codes i keep getting, p0316, and p0305. they always say pending and erase themselves.

Double check your cam synchronizer positioning. Set #1 at TDC on compression stroke, take off your CPS and see if the pin is in the middle of the window. If not, adjust it so it is and replace everything.
