Exclamation Emergency need brake help immediately!

im changing the brakes on a v6 conv. On the rear brakes, the pin that attaches the calibur to the break pad bracket is frozen. How do i get it off?? How do i unfreeze it?? Its the springy part the calibur bolt screws into.


please help meeee!!!!!!!!

Tried it. I already used PB Blaster, a hammer, and a wrench. Still no good.

put the slide in a vise with the whole bracket sticking out and try to turn the bracket back and forth and keep using the pb blaster. if that doesnt work, if you have access to a torch heat up the bracket around the slide and it should free it up. it will probably just freeze up again though so what you should really do is buy a new caliper with a new bracket and slides.

Once you get the pin out, you can just buy new pins at the AP store. They are cheap, and a good investment......
