Default Magnaflow Xpipe for GT to V6?

I was wondering if I would be able to take a magnaflow catted X pipe and weld it into my V6. I found a good price on one locally and was wondering if it was possible and then I could bolt on any GT catback. I do already have a full pypes header back kit which is catless with stock manifolds. I just want a different sound and to be able to smog or at least pass a visual inspection. Any help is appreciated thank you in advance.

You should be able to. Even if the x-pipe is slightly wider to the fit, a competent exhaust shop should have no problem modifying the pipe for you. Of this I am positive. I just put an X on my V6. Just make sure you go to a good exhaust shop, and stay away from Midas. You do still have the stock cats left over from the original Y still on the car right?

Yeah I kept my stock pipes and mufflers for the simple fact. I live in hippie regulation heaven CA. I was just a jackass and ordered the best price without realizing the 50 bucks less was for uncatted Xpipe. But it sounds like a 350z with a foldgers coffee can once i get past 3 RPM so I'm looking to do a magnaflow or bassanni X pipe and either a borla or good 40 flows. Hows your set up sound? thanks in advance.
