the SSM adapter is actually $900, and the M112 can be found for anywhere between $400-$800.

and no, that setup would not cost $5k. that is currently the cheapest way to s/c the V6.

ugh.

performance plugs and wires garuntee an 4-7 hp boost

my exhaust is at those right now and i believe they are doing just fine. cept i got res's and cats on mine so i'm a little out of my cars full potential.

you dont lose back pressure from the middle of the pipe. you lose it from the headers. did i say to increase the header diameter or anything near that? no. the cats are basically in the middle of my car so that would give you lots of pipe for backpressure and then widening the diameter of the pipe will let more exhaust push its way out the system faster.

with my exhaust how they are now with res, cats, and not a flow thru mufflers , just standard. i got a 12hp increase so it will be more with out the junk and flowthru's

my cai, jumped my hp about 8 horses

and a helix spacer also garuntee's 15hp. its just like chevys vortex induction it uses to atomize the fuel and air. (im a gm guy as well lol)

so with all the mods i stated thats about a 40hp increase so stock 190hp is put to 230hp.

i'm sorry about the 5psi. your right 4.4psi is the max. sorry .6psi (which is about the equivelent of blowing thru a straw) makes a huge difference.

ssstang told me you can run your car with no fuel upgrades on 8psi but it severely decreases your engines life. its the same thing as what i'm talking about only on a VERY smaller scale.

so like i said 5psi gave me about 70hp so yea yer hp would be around 300 or even above if you do the exhaust to its full potential. which would need alot more modification if you were going to turbocharge it.

as for sounding like garbage my car sounds awesome with out cats or res's on a 3in pipe. ecspecially when you heard a pssshhfft! after it=D

if he needs a 310 then why was i told i need a 255..?

idk why my last post repost....my bad.
See, this is why you don't listen to this guy....

How do you know how much you gained, did you take your car and have it dynoed ever time you added a mod? Seriously you should take notes from the OP, he admits he knows nothing and he wants to LEARN he didn't come up with some story to try and impress everyone.

Stock v6's put out about 160rwhp, and with a cold air intake, exhaust, spark plugs, and tb spacer, you would be lucky to see 180rwhp.

Throttle body spacers are junk, you say you're a chevy guy but then make a comparison to the "vortec" motor series? Not even close.

Jake why don't you post a video of your car so he can hear how it sounds btw.

Thank you.... My budget is small. I dont have an exact amount I am looking to spend. I would really like to get a good sound out her, and maybe push 300hp. I am thinkin' that maybe I am shooting for the moon on the hp, but I just wanted to maybe increase the throttle response and make her a little quicker. My buddy has a sweet fox body that he takes down to the local race track. He has a blast, and I would like to go do the same. I dont expect to eat any GT's for lunch but would like to try and hold my own with some of the other V6's that go down there.

i suggest starting off with some basic bolt-on's.

CAI
dual exhaust
short throw shifter
handheld tuner
3.73's & Tlok
windstar intake
aluminum flywheel
aluminum driveshaft

those few mods there will make nice difference, and should keep you busy for a while.

then maybe you can look into a small shot of nitrous for a little secret weapon.

Thank you..... that is much appreciated. Then that is where I will start. Just one last question. Which tuner would you prefer?

....nitrous? your complaining about .6 boost difference and your suggesting nitrous?

sure why not let him melt his rings and warp his cylinder heads. not to mention isnt nitrous freakin expensive? idk how you live dude but most people on a low budget cant afford $300 of nitrous everytime they hit the track or race.

Why do you have res's on your car?

Proper nitrous oxide use won't melt rings and warp heads, this is not fast&furious. Nor will filling up a bottle cost you $300. Its about 3-5$/lb you would know this if you actually had any experience in what you speak about.

Look at Shiner's car... He has been using Nitrous on his car for how long now and how many engines has he had blow up or melt? 75 shot of Nitrous is perfectly safe. Nitrous is not expensive. It is one of the cheapest ways to achieve hp.

i have res's on my car cuz i bought the stang with a 409 pypes system with the h pipe eliminated so they are true duals plus the pipes have been enlarged to those diameters i stated. i took it off when i got the turbo and bought the piping, now i dont have the turbo so they are back on.

if you watched the video i had on before when i first got this stang you'd see hear how it clipped the speakers at 4k rpms. and the video recorder aka my mac was about 10 feet away from my pipes. its loud. lol i'll take off the res's and cats like i said. i'm not sure if it'll be street legal cuz my turbo set up was barely legit cuz cops pulled me over all the time and gave me warnings but i miss that sound so they're comin off lol.

and please tell me where i can find a place to fill up a 10lb of n0s for $50. actually alot of us would love to know where.
