a signature is that little space below our posts where we get to brag about what we've done to our cars.

click on My Control Panel, and you'll see Edit Signature.

just keep it uncluttered and BS-free, please.

you can't use that crank.

i was referring to the 4.2L crank from a V6 F150. which i believe is forged...

you mean IMRC ?
i cant say for sure, my car doesnt have that. that's 01+.
the singleports didnt have IMRC at all.

the 05+ GT's have variable length intake manifolds.

the 05+ GT's have something like that as well.
one of you said something earlier about the gt's trannys not matching up with the v6s. why is that? i found an 06's gt tranny with shaft and differential. why wont that fit?

the bellhousing wont bolt up to the engine because the bolt pattern is different.
even if that 06's tranny was an auto you still wouldnt be able to use it, because in 05 they switched from the 4r70w 4 speed auto to a 5R55S 5 speed auto.

you have a 7.5 and the GT's have 8.8's. those are 2 different rear ends. it just simply wont fit.

yea but i'm not talking about switching out the parts i was just saying take out the whole differential with the housing and put the 8.8 in. people talk about it all the time on here so i thought it was possible.

i guess i dont understand how the bolt pattern is different. how do people do transmission swaps on v6's then?
