Anybody knows where the fuel pressure regulator is in ours V6???
I just found two stuffs attached in the fuel line and in the fuel rail.
what are the following parts name??? (pls see the pictures)
and for what are they for??

I can't speak to exactly how they work, just that there is a diaphram and spring in the regulator that keeps the fuel line pressure equalized.
The other looks to be the electrical connection on your fuel rail that tells the injectors when to inject

The pressure regulator is on the fuel line from the 'source line' to the 'fuel rail.' It is one assembly, line and regulator. See photo link below.

Very easy to remove from the fuel rail with the right tool. 5/8" fuel line disconnect (see photo). Disconnect neg bat terminal and let sit for a day or relieve fuel pressure with the impact switch located in the trunk.

The part is made by MotorCraft, the part # is
KFL-55 XR3Z-9324-CB

Removes from fuel rail with 5/8 tool used on the fuel rail side.
The other end simply has a plastic clip you pull out, or you will squeeze to remove.


* this part is off my 2000, v6, 3.8l, purchased at dealer $75 plus overnight shipping. The part shows up as not coming with quick disconnects (dealers computer view). However rest assured, it does come fully assembled with both side connectors.

Explanation with pics....could'nt ask for more !!!!

Can you believe I ask this same question to the Ford Local Dealer and the guy show me in his computer the whole fuel system from the tank to the injectors and this part doesn't exist !!! at list for him....Awesome, in the Hayne's manual (sopoused from 99-04) just talk about the SN95 model regulator and looks totally different, and that are the reasons I was so confused...

Here is the label from the box. You can print it out and show it to the dealer if needed.

The part number is showing as XR3Z 9324 CB.
Looks like there is even a phone number on there (under FedEx Recipient # - it must be the dealer's as its not mine) so if your dealer needs to call them.
