Default 2001 mustang v6 tire size help!

Ok guys help me out. I know this question is asked all the time, but was checking out all the threads on tire size and everybody has different opinions its confusing me. I just bought some brand new 17x9 rims and all i want to know is what tire will look right, meaning fill the wheel well fully and give the car that mean look. I want to go same tire size all the way around. Just let me know what most people go with for this rim size. I was thinking 275/40/17 or maybe 255/45/17. whats best guys? thankyou, David

Go with the 275/40-R17. The 255 will look small and effect your speedo... If you want a mean look, you might be able to stuff a slightly wider tire onto the back rims (285s?)... Lemme know and I'll help ya figure out the alternate size you would need.

you could always go for the staggered look as well, with smaller tires in the front and fat meats in the back. the bulldog look always looks intimidating

and i agree as well 275's will look hella nice back there.

+1

275/40/17 is the best looking tire size for a 17x9 rim.

i've got (4) 17x9's on my car, with 245/45/17 on the front and 275/40/17 in the rear. the 245's are a little convexed ( bowed in a little). and the 275's look perfect.
