Default Grinding noise coming from driver's side tire when turning sharp.

Yeah I have no clue what it is. When I steer right sharply I hear this horrible grinding noise I've never heard my car make.

I've recently swapped out my wheels, and it's not the tires rubbing up against the wheel well... this is a different animal.

Doesn't do it on the other side when steering left.

It's only on the front driver's side wheel.

it could be the brakes, i had the same problem a few months ago.. it was grinding all the time but it was only really noticeable when turning.

I had a hummer h2 and it did that once to me, the axle might need some lubrication.

While your not moving, and you turn the wheel to the max, does the sound happen?

I found the problem. Let's just say... for my next purchase for my car, I'll be getting some spacers.
