Default Turbo or supercharger

We have 1995 v6 5 speed mustang. I just wanted to know if it would be better to turbo the car or supercharge it. If i were to supercharge it we were thinking about pulling a supercharger of an old supercoupe, i heard they were pretty quick for how they big they were. We already have an 8.8 rear end and 3:73 gears. any input is welcome, or advice.

And if you could link me to some websites that would be great as well

if you use the supercoupe super charger check the snout seal when you buy it to make shure it is still good they are known for leaking you want to get the whole set up intake supercharger all the piping mass air flow sensor intercooler radiator for ease of intercooler mounting you will also need bigger injectors a good tune i have some of the stuff from my set up radiator mass air flow 30 pound injectors pm me if you go that route i can give you a good deal and all the info/research i have on the turbo coupe swap you will be happy with the power i also have diffrent pulleys for diffrent amounts of boost

If you are going as far as to supercharge your 3.8 from the supercoupes, you may be better off taking the entire motor, due to stronger internals than the NA 3.8. Same concept as building a 2.3 turbo from an NA one.. Its doable with the stock NA block but you cannot push the boost on the NA pistons.

Otherwise you should rebuild your NA block to include Forged pistons or else leave the boost really low, which in my opinion makes the build pointless. Definitely research this before diving in.

for the stock poundage its like 5 to 6 they dont boost real hard stock the non forged internals will hold up for a while with a good tune but if you want more boost then that or your motor has high mileage then yes rebuild you will be happy with 5-6 pounds for a while but you will eventually want more and need to rebuild there is allot off tricks for the eaton m90 to get more boost you can have the supercharger ported and polished like a intake you can have the vent holes in the case by the shafts welded up for a little more pressure and get a louder whistle like i said i have lots of info on the eaton m90 if you want it i have the set up i found on one of the web sites for the super six shoot out the way one of them guys ran there motor they ran like 10 sec on it with a long rod stroker

You'll be way ahead financially and have more HP if you sell the car you have and just buy a V8 Stang...there is nothing inexpensive to turbos or superchargers...from there the V8 is much easier and cheaper to upgrade.

do a split port swap then turbo it the split port will give it quit a bit of power plus better flow and the turbo wont spool when your not in it so you wont have an fuel milage problems and no stress on the engine

if you go split port you cant run the eaton m90 i agree it would be cheaper to sell it and have a v8 but it is diffrent to have a supercharged v6

You cannot do an M90 on a split port. It would need to be M112 or nothing as far as roots blowers are concerned.......
