sure, cut your y pipe off just behind the rear o2 sensors. Install the xpipe then straight pipe to where you want the mufflers then the hump over the axle, then tailpipes. Or if you could dump the exhaust b4 the axle and not have to worry about tailpipes

The Pypes X-pipe will take the place of your stock Y-pipe (that's what it was designed to do), so no cutting involved. But you will need dual piping for the exits, so either have a shop make them for you (which is good if you want to use the Flowmaster mufflers and/or dump the exhaust before the axle), get a GT cat-back exhaust kit (check with Pypes, but they say it will match up), or get the complete Pypes kit (which includes the X-pipe, mufflers, and dual tailpipes).

FYI: no cats might lose you some torque (unless you're gonna turbo it); o/r may fail emissions inspection (depends on your state).

if you go and get the pypes x/h pipe you wont be able to tighten that section full until you have the cat back part of the system hooked up to the x/h pipe, just dont want you to waste time trying to tightin the one section at a time(if you are doing this install yourself)... I learned this lesson the hard way a few weeks ago, and you need jack stands to support it all and hold the pipes up in the right spot to tighten everything

Just removing the cats will result in less backpressure on the engine, which lowers torque but slightly increases hp (due to more flow). You can replace the stock cats with: hi-flow cats (in a catted mid-pipe); turbo; chambered mufflers. All of those will provide enough backpressure to maintain your torque.

Cheapest place for just tubes is a local exhaust shop. You should go with 2-1/4" or maybe 2-1/2" pipes. Otherwise buy a GT catback exhaust (to hook up to your X-pipe) from American Muscle, Summit Racing, MAC Performance, etc.
