Default Rear brake caliper parking brake arm seized

I have an 02 thats all stock except for the front rotors. I was changing my rear pads yesterday and i noticed that the parking brake assembly once applied wont fully release unless i crawl under the car with a wrench and pry them loose.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them. I really dont know what to do other than find some new rear calipers.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Ian
