And to put the icing on the cake... The only real difference the gear change makes is to promote the traction in the earlier gears, (e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd)
Since a naturally aspirated 3.8L will NOT reach it's overdrive gear potential, there's no difference in TOP speed based off the gears alone...
HOWEVER... in a forced induction engine, capable of creating the power needed to reach redline in top gear... the 3.73's would produce a slightly faster top speed
