What year is your car? Or better yet - what tranny do you have? And what's your redline? You need to know this things in order to figure out max speed.

lol i wasn't trying to be a jerk, it's just that for me when i'm thinking about installing new gears i'm thinking more about gas mileage and the like. my apologies.
2000 mustang auto tranny i'm moreless concerned with speeds over 100 wondering if they'll be much lag at all seeing how the only mod i have is a chip from the previous owner
Whelp I have 4.10s and was able to get to roughly 110. That was interesting.

Meh only 110...., How was it acting at 110 ? feel like it had anymore?
Probably not much more... assuming your 2000 auto has a 4R70W tranny, 4th gear has a ratio of .7 Putting in the 4.10 final gears, and assuming you redline at 4500 (that's what mine does, don't know if you the 99-04s rev higher), and assuming your tires are 25" in diam. (fully inflated) -- you will be about ~115mph.
Of course, you will have to get rid of your speed limiter to go above 105/110...

the 99-04 engine is split port compared to the single port from the 98 and down. 99-04 has 193 hp stock compared to however much the older ones have so maybe there is a way for a new edge with 4.10's to go faster...

Top speed isn't about power... power is how fast you get there. Top speed is purely about the max engine rpm (due to limitations of the engine parts, such as OHC lasting longer than OHV, etc), thru the last transmission gear (4th, 5th, 6th, depends on tranny) and final drive gear (3.73, 4.10, etc), to the tire size (25.5", 26" and so on...). So, that's how I arrived at my numbers... but please, let me know if the single ports have a higher redline -- I could recalculate.
On a side note, your car does have to be powerful enough to turn the tires... so even though you could theoretically add another gear ratio to your tranny, your engine still has to be able to make it turn!
