does anyone have a site where you can buy a turbocharger from? for a 2000 v6
P.S oh and what does "stroke" ur engine mean?
sorry im a new guy barely getting into this new world of the mustang v6
stroke is changing the volume of each cylinder by height.. i think thats the best way to say it.. meaning the piston travels further away from the cylinder head.. and then if youre wondering.. boring the cylinder would mean giving it a bigger diameter
i guess your forgetting the back pressure they create...
That back pressure would end up being the same that stock muffler, or even a chambered one, would place on the system. That's why its important for turbo cars to have wide open exhausts... Besides, back pressure gives you torque.

Turbos create more power - period. Too many magazines have already written too many articles that prove this.
I agree with you but your statement makes me laugh and laugh. Just because a magazine reports something doesn't mean it is true. lmao Do you think that BMW has been the best car in America for the past ten years just because Car & Driver or Motor Trend says it is? Or what about the electric super/turbo chargers advertised in the back of magazines? Just because something is put into print doesn't make it in any way factual or correct, it just means that someone with money wanted it there... The scientific data is out there if anyone really wants to see why the Turbo is more efficient than a Super, not just because a magazine says it is so. lol
Supercharger - if you want more boost you have to change out the pulleys, always at boost
Turbo - just a knob away to raise the boost, boost lag, back pressure, you could get better MPG with it and it sounds badass, who wouldnt like the sound of a turbo

I actually prefer driving a s/c car over a turbo car. Yes, the turbo is more efficient but I still prefer the s/c. A centri unit is not 'always at boost'. You make the pulley swap sound like a huge deal, it isn't. If you don't have a proper tune then a turbo is just a knob away from blowing the engine too... It all just depends on the build.
Yup, that's what works best for turbos. (Don't know if you caught the meaning of my statement - but "we are of one accord" )

LOL at myself Yeah my wording was bad there: I meant that magazine articles have shown the data that proves turbos produce more power. And I didn't mean biased, broad-based, journalistic ones like "car & driver" or "road & track" - I meant more realistic magazines that actually try stuff out, step-by-step, and report the real results: such as MM & FF, Modified Mustangs & Fords, and even import ones (Sport Compact)... as long as they do legitimate testing.

I don't read too many magazines anymore. I have been trying to hang out with car builders and shops more than anything. I do not have much time for any of my car related interests anymore though so I could be getting left behind for all I know. lmao On a brighter note though, I think I am about to come into $1500 so I am going to try and finish up my bolt-ons so I can move onto serious engine mods!!! At least I hope so. lol
