I am trying to find some roll bars for my 2004 3.8l Mustang. It doesn't matter if it is a 4, 6 , or 8 point. Will I still be able to fit a car seat in the back? Any good name brands out there?

Considering the back seat is useless for kids under 10 without a roll cage installing one would finish the job and make the rear seat area nearly impossible for people to get into and out of. So the answer is kiss the rear seats goodbye. Besides, if you are going through the trouble of installing a roll cage then it would be a great time to remove everything that is not needed to lighten the car up as well.
It would be necessary to remove all the carpeting and seating to install it and then you'd have to fit everything back in. The seat itself should go back into place but the section of the cage running behind the front seats would take up most if not all of the legroom for the rear seat passengers.

I have one question, Why? What are you looking to achieve from installing the roll cage?

That was 2 questions! haha
I am just trying to see if it is worth putting one in my car. I am trying to make my car a little bit safer. We have alot of drivers where I live that try and make you run into their POS car so they can get the insurance money. I know that sounds dumb, but I have had it happen a few times already. I have avoided crashing into them so far. Even when I had my wife and 9 month old son in the car, someone kept slamming on the brakes in front of me and trying to run into me. I was thinking a roll bar would help in case of a rollover crash. YOU NEVER KNOW WITH THESE RETARDED NEBRASKA DRIVERS.
First thing my wife asked me when I got the convertible was when am I installing a roll bar. My response to her was that I had no plans or intentions of rolling it. Almost no chance of rolling in a normal collision and you need to be hauling ass. I figure if it is my time no roll bar/cage is gonna make the difference anyways.
installing a roll cage into a d/d in case of an accident is like carrying an umbrella indoors in case the fire alarm goes off...sure its possible maybe someday the fire alarms will go off, but the umbrella still wont do much good.
A cage is good Yes, in racing situations. A cage + Helmet + 5 Pt harnesses ect makes a car safer. Now imagine you don't have the helmet ,.. and a F150 t-bones you,.. you head pegs of the b-pillar roll bar post,..Fuuun.
Now that being said if you want to make your car safer on the street address the inherent issues of the Mustang,.. Steering, and brakes. You are farther ahead avoiding the accident rather than preparing for it to happen.
Make sense or did I not have enough coffee yet this morning?
