does anyone have any experience with these? im looking at some ASP underdrive pulleys for my '02 V6. im pretty much bone stock right now. full off road exhaust coming in a few weeks but i want more hp. will the underdrive pulleys create more power that i can feel?

not really...they give your other components a slower ratio and robs less HP from your block so yes you gain more avail hp...but an actuiall HP increase? No...you can do the same thing by turning off your AC...if you want something you can feal get 3:73 gears or 4:10's
same thing there all it will do is give you more avail HP

so i can get the same gain from underdrive pulleys if i just turn off the AC? haha wow. thanks man. and yes ive been looking at FRPP 3:73 gears but am a little apprehensive because i dont know what all goes into buying them (what all i need to buy, recalibration for automatic) can ya help me out with what a need to do to get gears?
I have gears in my car. after i broke my center seccion i got a tlock with 4.10s and the instillation kit with seals and bearings and such. most people on here go with if you have an auto go with 4.10s and if you have a manual go with 3.73s but its your choice. me i would go with 4.10s and i love them and i know alot of people that wish they would have gotten 4.10s. as far as calibration i got diablosport tuner when i got my gears it can make the ajustment for the gears, give you a great tune, and clear trouble codes i love mine.

well gear's? I'd take to a shop and have them install it, there is alot of work needed not hard but you need to right tools and a garage mechanic wont have them.
the speed call tool? ask them about it, because that one is for the 8.8. See if you can use it for the 7.5...if you can't. SCT and Diablo has a cal tool.
What Im going to do eventually is swap to a v8 so I'm not going to do this. I'm just going to get a take off 8.8 with everything in it already...allong with an aluminum drive shaft.

I would get a tuner like Xcal so after the gear swap you can change it in the tune. Either 3.73's or 4.10's with a Tlok and install kit. Call around and see how much they charge for the install.
I did an under drive pulley on my friends 04 V6, i'm sure it netted some rwhp but not much and he couldn't really feel a difference. Also it was a pita to do. UDP's on a V8 is way easier to do and i've done several. But atleast it got rid of that huge go-cart steering wheel of a crank pulley.

I have UDPs on mine: and yes, there was not much noticeable difference. They weren't too bad to install, the only tough part was the alternator pulley (damn it was stuck! ), but I did get it off eventually. Plus, you need a new belt...
And I think the New Edge kits have a third pulley for the harmonic balancer (w-ever it's called), and that is definitely a PITA! However, it does look cool under the hood (+1 on the smaller, less windmill-looking crank pulley! )
For the gears, you will need the gears, a trusted shop to install them, diff gear oil, and a tune -- but it's also a good idea to use a rebuild kit, too. Making it an LSD (limited-slip differential; also called T-lok, traction lock, etc) will be more money...
I also am going to just swap on a New-Edge GT rear-end (which will give me a stronger diff, LSD, but only 3.27s ).

mmm about 400 to 500 I'm guessing...maybe less...thats why I'm saying Id also get the T-lok...but you'll definitely notice a difference
Gears, T-lok, install kit, tuner, shop installation is going to run around $1200.
$170 for gears, $220 for the T-lok, $80 for the install kit, $380 for the tuner, and usually $300 for labor.
It is a lot of money, but you will feel a major increase in acceleration and seat of your pants power.
No, it doesn't make a difference if you have an auto.
