Possibly try checking the idle, and try changing it. The idle can be changed (On my car at least) by turning a screw that is pushing down on the throttle on top of the engine. You know the thing that you can turn with your hand to make the engine rev? On my V6 there's a screw on that, you can turn it to change how much throttle the car is always giving.
