its been raining for like 2 days straight and i got in my car today and i started going and it kinda sputtered and jolted a little. i have narrowed it down that when i ease on the peddle that the car is fine but when i tap the gas quickley it sputters ..... not cool and it just threw a lite so ill get that checked in the morning .... kinda thinking its a vaccum leak and or the oppisite? anywho i have no idea what it is and i need it fix... would rain have anything to do with it.?
i unpluged the maf and pluged it back it ... it seems to working i guess but not sure yet ill unplug the battery and see if the light goes off tomorrow
also i have a lightning maf for my tt setup so do i need a tune to use this or can i just go to orileys to get some pipe to get it to work with a filter .... just wondering if its my maf going out
Sorry Dude, it has been a hectic week. I'm trying to get my cars together for another weekend of racing. We finally blew the tranny in the '01 last weekend(long overdue) as well as a freezezplug in the turbo car.
The 2 codes that were thrown are very vague codes. I would suggest getting some carb cleaner and spraying around all your intakes, vacuum, and intake tube to find where you have a vacuum leak. The Windstar's most vulnerable spot for leakage is towards the back of it by the firewall. It seems that unmetered air is getting into your system somehow. When you are stomping on it fast, the O2's do not have enough time to add/reduce fuel that quickly. You can also try cleaning your MAF as Mark suggested.......
ill clean it out.... but i wasnt really stomping on it at all just kind of going and then it sputtterd and i kinda played with it in nuetral so when i kind tapped the gas bringing it from idle to like 3k not stomping at all
