It is for V6s not V8s. And yes it will fit 2004s despite the description. The only change from '03 to '04 V6s was the stroke. Nothing external was changed so it will bolt up.
I have one in my '01 and it was worth the $80.
Edit: Underdrive pulleys do not add any hp per say. They free up some power used by the accessories. You might get 1-2 rwhp more with a pulley set. Not nearly worth the $200-300 they cost.
Use that money and get yourself an SCT Tuner from AmericanMuscle with custom tunes. A good 93 octane tune will net you 10-20hp.

You can have a muffler shop fabricate you a set of true duals with some Flowmaster mufflers for around $350-500 (slow economy so be sure to haggle around. If they want business make them work for it). That will get you 10 or so hp and make it sound 1000x better.

Another way to get some more power is an intake spacer:
VAP Auto - Intake Spacers

Those are $120 and are dyno proven for up to 5hp.
Just remember horsepower isn't cheap and it doesn't add up linearly. Every successive mod gives you less and less power compared to what is advertised.

thnks. yeah i got a tru duel set up wiht a h pipe and it sounds real good its using flowmaster 40's and i had the tips set up similar to the rectangle camaro ones. it looks good and is centered in the middle. ill take a look at that space. i think with that space and a cia and a tuner i would be in good shape. do u know anything about the tuners? i wasnt sure if i should go wiht a tuner or a chip?

I'd go with a tuner. They cost a little more than a chip but they are worth it. You can check and clear check engine lights with a tuner.
As for specific tuners I would go with the SCT SF3 tuner from AmericanMuscle.com with custom tunes. It is what I have and it does make a world of difference. They are $380 there. That includes free tunes for life and free 2nd day shipping on the tuner. The free tunes means anytime you change your car's setup (gears, intake, wheel size, etc.) you can email them and in roughly two days you will receive a new tune via email.
