Default computer problem with 3.73 gears

I had 3.73's put in maybe a month ago an at the track we discovered the computer was limiting the car when the needle hit 112 like it did with the stock gears which is what we were expecting. so when I put in the correct speedometer gear to correct it. I find out its doing the same thing only im going 80...so i keep it in over drive an try to accelerate past thinking maybe it has a 3rd gear rpm limiter, because never got into 4th at 112 with stock gears either. but no still limited accelerating in 4th. Am I just sol an need a programmer to remove limiters or wat?

Assuming you're talking about '05 and up car? Yes- easy fix with a programmer- if you don;t want to buy one, maybe someone at a dealership can program it for with their computer..

The computer will need to be reprogrammed. You can buy a good home computer programmer/tuner for like $300 and retune the timing and everything until it's perfect at the track. You can also just take it to some performance shop and they can retune it.

By the way, What did you run in the 1/4 with 3:73s?
