Has anyone ever ran a stock V6 Mustang 5 speed with 3.73 gears down the 1/4 mile? I'm seriously thinking about swapping to 3.73's but only if it gets me to 15's
Gear will usually knock off .2-.5 seconds or so.
So, no it will not get you into the 15s if you are only running 16.7 stock.
What you need to do is get more seat time and some stickier tires.
What are your 60' times on those 16.7 runs?

Oh, and What are peoples opinion on 3.73 and tlock in the 7.5 axle vs just swapping out a 8.8 rear with 3.73's from a newer GT. What years GT 8.8 can swap to a V6 drivetrain? I was reading something about the 1999-2004 rear GT axles being wider so I could fit like 10" wide rims.
Ive got 4.10s and a tlock on my 00 v6 auto and ran 16.4 at 88.97 and spun like crazy off the line and down the track. Also if you want to get to the 15s go for a handheld tuner it makes all the difference. Sticker will be better to. Im going back tp the track this weekend hopfully i can get to 16.0 or better.
my previous run with all my mods in my sig was a 16.21@86mph (yes ive got a auto )
