Utilize the search feature, you will find more than enough information on CAI's to satisfy your questions.

I'd have to agree with you on everything but the tb. A new throttle body won't help you much unless you're running a ton of boost. There's a lot more out there that can give you more bang for your buck.

this sounds pretty good. i am planing on getting a cia and a tuner also a pully kit. what other mods would u reccomend? and i have a exhaust but no headers? would i gain much hp from headers?
You all don't have strict emission test or anything in Texas, do you? If you don't, go for headers if you can afford them. I'm not going to get into the whole hp debate, you won't gain five million hp or anything, but they will give you pretty good bang for your buck. I've read around 15 hp, but those numbers are from vendors, so they're probably high, but again, not getting into it. Gears and a t-lock will give you good effects. They won't add hp or torque, but you will put the power to the ground much better and get into the power band faster.

i generally read what vendors say then half it and that'll still be being generous hahaha

Yes, I do the same. But, there will always be the argument of "How much hp will such and such add?" Some will take the vendor's numbers and double it, others like us half it, and some say nothing you do will add half a horse. The only way to know is the dyno.
