For those of you that have tuned your car with any SCT, what do you guys have your RPM redline at?

Rev limiter, as in your set redline on the tuner. Because on the tunes I've bought from Bamachips, Brenspeed, and VMP, its set at 6000 and that's a little out of my comfort zone. So I was asking what others had theirs set at.

And you're ok with it going all the way to 6000? I just think that screams disaster

6k is fine. I wouldnt see any reason that you would turn it that much in a daily driver situation. So i dont think you have anythin to worry about.

well yeah it COULD go that high but the shift points wont let it go that high and i doubt ill ever go that high in 4th gear.. also i dont rev the sh*t out of it and when i do im somewhat controlled about it so i dont really worry about it

The 99+'s are fine for 6k shifts. The pre-99's are not. I never shift before 6k at the track on either car. The shift light on my '02 is set at 6,300, but it also has the valvetrain to take it......

my car shifts at 6,100 rpms and i have had no problems... but the 1/4 mile estimater is way off. it says i ran a 19.5 going 90 mph and then i ran one but a car came down the road so i didnt get past 69 barly touching to get there too and it said the same 19.5? im taking it to the track saturday and im hoping for a 15.0... hoping lol
