Well after getting the engine out. Checking out the crank, connecting rods, cam, lifters, push rods, etc...
Pricing machine work, gasket set, hard parts....
I am picking up a $475 used engine from a larger/well known salvage operation.
The engine is from a 2003 with 33k miles and has a 6 month warranty.
The Questions:
- What kind of things should I do before/after the swap?
- Should I clean the intake?
- Should I replace anything on the engine?
Thanks to everyone that posted on

This is the next phase of the project.
Thanks in advance
