Exclamation 2000 Mustang V6, Hand break problems

Hello. my newest problem is that most of the times when i accelerate (and always from a dead stop) and even some times when i break, my break light comes on (not the lights on the back of the car, but the light on the dash that comes on when you pull the hand break) what could be causing this? thank in advance.

p.s. totally separate problem but how do you pull the pin to remove the windshield wiper arms? i feel like im gonna break it the way im doing it

Is your brake fluid reservoir full?

Not sure about the wipers......

+1
check your brake fluid level, rapid acceleration/deceleration can cause the low fluid level sensor to momentarily not be submerged, and it trips the light.
if it's low that usually means your front and/or rear pads are about done.

thanks guys. i added some break fluid because it was suspiciously low. ill tell you tommarow if that seems to solve the problem. but both front and rear pads are looking fine (rear rotors look like they got into a fight with something and lost though) so does this meen i have a leak?

the rotors look like sh** but the pads are ok ? that doesnt add up...are you sure the squeel tab is not engaging the surface of the rotor?

if you can, measure the thickness of the pads; a new pad is ~10mm (13/32"). make sure you check the inside pads as well, the inside pad actually wears quicker than the outside pad because it is right up against the piston. by the time the front & rear pads are below 50%, the brake fluid will typically look low.
also, if the pedal feels firm, you probably don't have a leak, just watch the level over the next few days, to keep an eye on it if the level goes down again.
