I recently had an oil change and had my boyfriend replace the air filter(failing to oil it first, we didn't know! I'm getting that fixed tomorrow). I am also getting my EGR valve replaced, but I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with this particular problem.
The other day I was pulling out of my driveway and the bottom of my Mustang scraped the hump of concrete really bad. This is the day the vibration started. ALTHOUGH, she did shake a little bit before that. But it was a shake, not a vibrate, and it certainly was not as harsh.
PROBLEM:
It vibrates harshly at idle, then when I start to give her gas it stops. When a brake to slow down, the vibration starts and progressively gets worse. It's fine in park, as soon as I switch it to drive or reverse it starts. She starts up fine.
As far as the oiling of the air filter goes, I did read that if you oil it too much it could cause this. But what about not oiling it at all?
Im having the same problem with my 02 v6 I have it in the garage now and im gonna take a look at it tommorow. so I'll let you know what it is. Its deffinately a transmission problem bc its leaking a little bit between the tranny and the engine. and it only does it in 1 2 and D
EGR valve was replaced yesterday. It's still vibrating. Which, I figured it would. My service engine soon light came BACK on for something different(fuel air censor). I'm thinking it COULD be the car just adjusting to the new cleaner air. I'm also putting an injector cleaner in my tank next time I fill up.

exact code?
if it's got anything to do with the MAF, you probably got oil on it. buy a can of MAF cleaner, remove the MAF sensor from it's housing (2 T20 anti-tamper pin torx bolts) and spray it down and let it dry, then re-install. make sure you dont touch it or bend it.
Girl!!!! whats wrong with your pony ??? .. donīt waste your money on that..
this problem itīs more like a vacuum leak... maybe a PCV valve; your car has 2 PCV valves, 1 at left bank near the throttle body, and the second one it is near from where you fill your car from oil !! ..
- Vaccum Leak
- IAC dirty valve
- did you notice any smoke ?

Okay, it's vibrating at 1,000 and 2,000 rpm.
I took it back to the guys who replaced my EGR valve and DPFE sensor. One of them looked it up and told me it could be a number of things(tell me something I don't know). And then he was just like 'cross your fingers it's just an O2 sensor.
As far as the O2 sensor goes, it's definitely a possibility. I was told a bad EGR valve could ruin an O2 sensor quickly. And that thing was bad for a good 2 years, I'm sure. But, the question is which one? Seeing as how there are four.
Also, I'm not ruling out motor mounts. I heard they are on the bottom right? Are they so low that they are susceptible to being hit or scraped by anything on the ground?
