Im planning to do a complete engine rebuild on my 2002 V6. Im thinking of putting a new cam and lifters in it. Im not really sure what cam and lifters to get and im not sure what else to replace for performance

save yourself early one and do an engine swap instead you will be much happier with the results

a v8 swap is not a reasonable suggestion if thats what youre saying

I dont have the money to buy a v8 and all the crap to put it together.im in college so Im only gonna be able to buy a couple of parts a month. and i have all winter to do the rebuild. my current mods to the engine are a CAI and a 65mm throttle body. Im just not sure what else i should replace. deffinately pulgs and plug wires maybe the egr valve. Any suggestions are helpful.

You don't need to replace the EGR until it fails. Most complete performance motors run about $6.5k......
