Question Widest Tires front of 97?

I was wondering what the widest Tires I can fit on the front of my 1997 without rubbing. I have a set of Cobra 17x9's on Layaway and 285's for the rear, but I don't know what will fit on the front without problems and whats the skinniest you can put on a 9 Inch wide rim without it looking retarded.

EDIT: And if anyone has pictures of the 17x9 Cobra wheels on their Sn-95 (1994-1998) please show me

I have the 5 Star looking ones that come off the 03/04 cobras I believe.

I have 18X9 with 265's on the front of my 96 Cobra, and that's with a 1 inch spacer. So you should be able to put the 285's on, but I would make sure you can go lock to lock without it rubbing, Mike. SCT Tuner.
