Default 1996 V6 P1131 code question

I have a 1996 V6 3.8 Mustang with about 106000 miles on it with a check engine light on. The code scan shows a P1131 code. The car is running fine and I have not seen any problems at all. The guys at the part shop told me to run a fuel system cleaner through it, so I'm am doing that now. From what I been reading it seems likely it could be an O2 sensor, I also understand this is quite a big job to change. They say it's ok to drive the car while we try to fix the problem, but I'm not real sure about that. Could any one please help me and tell me which way I should go now.

Replacing 0-2 sensors is not that hard of a job at all,Your code PO131 indicates upstream 0-2 sensor(bank 1)drivers side before the catalytic converter.Put the car on ramps, look just below manifold and before first catalytic convertor. You will see the sensor.Remove electrical snap connector and remove and replace sensor to correct problem.
