Alright fellas.. I'm back. The last time I posted was in April and May earlier this year as a 1st time member. I'm back and ready to do a few mods now that I've got some $$$...
I think everyone will agree that my 1st mod will my 03 stand out among most indefinitely.. For the past few days, I've been in contact via e-mail with a guy by the name of Matt from
The Retrofit Source (U.S.) - HID Projector Retrofit Kits, Retrofit and HID Componenents, Projectors Lens, Wiring Harnesses, Shrouds and more!
I've made the decision to go with retrofitted HID projectors the legit way rather than blinding the crap out of everyone with drop-in HID bulbs that utilize out stock headlight housing..
I went back and forth a bit trying to pick the best Projection system to retrofit our 01-04 headlight housing. I ended up going with a complete hybrid HID projector package that was strongly suggested by Matt himself specifically due to our High beam and Low beam using the same bulb..
This is the Kit:
FX-R stage 3

In addition to this projector hybrid, I chose to go with a new set of Dark Smoked Headlights from AM for the FX-R Stage 3 projection Unit to be installed into..

Since I've opted for the clear corner Smoked headlights from AM, I figure why not go all out and buy some Stealth Bulbs to make everything up front look smooth and clean once installed.
If anyone has the Dark Smoked headlights from AM, you may wana check these out if your not familiar with these bulbs already.. Here is the link.

There is a side by side picture listed at the bottom this link if you curious as to what the Dark Smoked headlights from AM look like with stealth bulbs installed compared to our stock headlight unit w/ amber turn signal.
Once I chose the Dark Smoked headlights from AM and the projector Unit from
The Retrofit Source guys, Matt referred me to a retro fitter our in NY who would be able to put everything together.. Meaning the projector unit with the new headlight housing.
Meanwhile, I've been thinking the past few weeks about how I want my car to look. I've invested hours upon hours doing research on rims and tires. Searched every site I could for the perfect look I'd want if I was droppin some money into wheels and tired. I Mean, if your going to get some rims, make sure you get exactly what you want. Rims typically cost quite a bit as I'm sure everyone is aware of.
Anyway, long story short, I came across a wheel company by the name of DPE.. Did some research. Found out you can basically ask for any kind of color combination along with most any size of rim you'd like to slap on your Mustang.
I ended up going with the Variant S R-06s

All in all.. I'll be doing a complete change in appearance once everything in complete. I've got my order with DPE going out this coming Monday Oct 25th.. The guy out in NY wll start putting my projection unit together starting Monday as well... As far as some pictures for everyone, I'll have them posted up once I start receiving things via FedEx or UPS...
The headlights should be done next week at some point and will arrive here at the house shortly there after, The 19'' DPE rims will take 4-5 weeks to make due to the specific options i've chosen...
I'll post pictures once i get my headlights next week...
Let me know what you guys think!!
