I have a 98 3.8 the problem is that i am not getting any spark to the 2 center wires on the coil pack. computer said coil pack i got my friend to swope with me for a test but got the same result. top three middle and bottom three middle my guess is it is not the coil pack where do i go from here. all help greatly appreciated. biscuited.

It's eaither your computer or your wires or the rotor. there are many possibiliys but id check the computer

no rotor on this one. i was told either control module or computer. do you know how to check either of these two components? I hate to buy the computer and it is something else. Thanks for the tip ed.

the coilpack has a tendency to die on our v6s so i dont find it very hard to believe its just the coil pack.. u could try swapping out coil packs with someone else who owns a v6 and that would tell u if its bad or not

What do the plugs with those 2 wires look like? That would be 2,3,5,6 on the motor......

The ignition wires go directly back to the PCM. Check your crank sensor as well.....
