so i was looking at my car washing it when i noticed that my head lights (mostly my wright one) had gotten extremly foggy. probly bc of the seal. i cant tell its lookse but it must be and because i live in houston. so i want to clean them. this sounds like something that i would rather not mess wiht as i do like having head light and i would like to keep this feature on my car. how ever i thought i could take it some where adn have them cleaned but why not change the bulbs at the same time? can this be done? i dont belive they need to be changed but i think if i got some of those blue bulbs that look blueish at night i might get bettter visiability and they would look pretty cool. does anyone know if u can do that wiht the stoc head lights?:confused

i guess u could say my car bumps.
if they are just condensating, then you can find your leak by removing the headlamp assembly, spraying it completely down with soapy water, and then VERY GENTLY blow some compressed air into the lamp; you'll see bubbles where your leak is. a small amount of clear rtv silicone should correct the problem.
if they're oxidized, 3M makes an excellent kit for restoring foggy plastic headlamp/taillamp lens.
also, be careful with aftermarket colorful bulbs, a lot of the lower-priced brands simply jack up the wattage on the bulb to seem brighter. this will eventually burn out the headlamp sockets. ive heard good things about Silverstar Ultra's.

i dont think there are just the bulbs that will give you the blue look the blue look will come from the projector headlights, which is a whole new assembly which runs arround $200
the hazy look is on the outside not on the inside most likely.
that is the difference between condensation and oxidation.
they're both very common.

they make bulbs to get you pretty much whatever color you want. but like i said, careful with the "El Cheepo's". i've seen chargers and 300's with pink, blue, even orange headlamps.
hell, last week i saw a civic with yellow headlights.
who ever told him those were a wise purchase, obviously has a darn good sense of humor...

lol that made me giggle. but to the OP, both mustangs ive owned (both made in 2000) i bought with really nasty oxidized headlights, so i tryed black headlight covers and although it looked a hell of a lot better, i couldn't see for s*** at night. so, on both cars i went with a pair of projectors from American Muscle and i love it. its brighter than stock and sexy, and unique. and every time i wax car car (about twice a month) i put a little bit of headlight oxydation remover on my headlights becuase that prevents it from ever happening

+1
the 99's and 00's came with clear headlamps, and they oxidize like there's no tomorow. my car is a 2000, i remember those nasty white headlamps...haha they were terrible.
PIAA extremewhite/blue bulbs will probably get you "blue'est" looking bulb, but to get that blue shine you will need to get a HID kit converter, it will change ur bulb style and gives it a true blue look, with the original lamps on the car you would be lucky to get a bulb that actually changes the color of your light
