Default need help with my EECS

Got the code P0455 today, was told it means my eecs is messed up. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Is this a possible reason for my car vibrating a bit when I am on the gas?

Thanks!

This indicates a fuel vapor leak or lack of purge flow in the EVAP control system. It means a large leak has been detected. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.
Check the gas cap.

Did that, gas cap is brand new. Where else do I look? I dont even know where the eecs is.

Would this cause my car to vibrate a little when accelerating at all? I feel like the car is not getting enough air or fuel.

That code is an evaporative emissions code. eecs is probably evaporative emissions control system. There is a line from the tank to a charcoal canister and to the intake. If the tube fell off the intake vacuum connection then you may be sucking in unmetered air that will cause a lean condition and possible stumble. The goal of the evap system is to burn up fuel vapors instead of release them to the environment. The vapors collect in the charcoal canister until the engine is at appropriate operating conditions to burn a little extra fuel. Then the purge valve will open and flush out the carbon filter. At least that is my understanding, and i could be wrong on some minor details.

Thanks man! Any idea where I can find the canister to check those lines? Sounds like a pretty simple fix.

I believe the canister is in the rear bumper behind the drivers side tire. The vac lines come off the top of the tank.
