Default Advice on dual Exhaust

Hello everyone in a few weeks I plan to make a somewhat big purchase all together and I wanted to get a little bit of advice first anyways...

my first choice was going to be the

Pypes 409 Stainless Steel V6 Dual Pipe Conversion Kit (98-04 V6)
but I sorta had a change of heart after doing research and I switch my mind to the Magnaflow Dual Exhaust Catback System (99-04 V6) and I was gonna purchase the off-road x-pipe with this... now my questions are will x-pipe and the magnaflow fit together, also which one do you guys really recommend for the loud crisp sound and also in my research I found without Plug-in Mustang MIL Eliminators (96-04 GT) I will get a check engine light... now will I run into any problems with a check engine light other then this, do I need to purchase something else? Thank you guys so much also when I purchase my new exhaust I plan to get JBA Cat4ward Shorty Headers (99-04 V6) and BBK 65mm Throttle Body (01-04 V6)

last week I purchase a few accessories and the
K&N Mustang FIPK Air Intake Kit (99-04 V6) im just trying to get the all out of my ride... thank you guys! so much for your help on this post!!!
SEMPER FI!

the throttle body is unnecessary unless youre planning forced induction in the future.. the magnaflow catback designed for the v6 will not fit perfectly to an aftermarket x-pipe that you put on... its designed to bolt up to the factory y-pipe...

what made you decide off of the pypes exhaust? pypes has a x-pipe/catback combination... this exhaust has an offroad x-pipe and should go together without any other fabrication.. Pypes 409 Stainless Steel V6 Dual Pipe Conversion Kit (98-04 V6) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

u could use MIL eliminators or a tuner to disable the downstream O2 sensors.. otherwise youll have your check engine light always on.. and it may burn out eventually or mask any other codes that might pop up

You might be able to get a custom fabricated exhaust for less. Mine was done for just over $400. Just make sure you find a really good shop because I have had to have exhaust re-done on another car and find a different shop.

well I would take to a shop but it would kinda break my dads heart, the car is sorta project for both me and him to work on so I try to get everything so me and him can do it our selfs.. anyways I was looking and if I get the true dual exhaust system Pypes 409... if I were to buy the flow master mufflers, would they improve the sound, and would they actually increase horse power with this kit... also which one would you guys recommend cause their are 3 to choose from thank you guys!

i would honestly be looking at this one

Flowmaster American Thunder Catback Exhaust System (99-04 GT/Mach 1/Bullitt) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

although i'm not sure if it will work. My exhaust is custom made.

Default sorry

sorry didnt catch the end not sure if it will work :P anyways, what would be the difference between x-pipe and h-pipe?

im thinking I might just go with x-pipe just buy the Pypes 409 Stainless Steel V6 Dual Pipe Conversion Kit (98-04 V6) and then replace the mufflers with flowmaster super flow 44 series offset muffler's you guys think it will sound mean?

x-pipe sounds more euro style while the H pipe gives your more muscle sound.

X-pipe will also give you a bit more HP. like 2 - 5 hp

I had a 98 v6 a few years back and I installed the true dual catback exhaust kit from flowmaster and they sounded pretty good. They are cheap too and very easy to install. It just bolted up to the Y pipe. I got a decent HP gain even without a tune. Had a cai as well. No other mods were on it.

if u get the pypes kit try the pypes mufflers out for a bit and if you dont like it swap out for flowmasters.. beware though.. without cats youre going to get a pretty raspy sound out of it
