ok i drive a 1998 v6 automatic

lately i dont drive it much except for weekends (friday(night)saturday and sunday) and the every other day trip to the gas station less than 2 miles away from my house.

anyways the car is acting real weird, when i give it gas to go (and no not stomping it or anything) my tranny will shift around 2-2.5k rpms, well lately its been i guess kicking would be the word until it shifts.

and my rpms also "twitch" when the car is parked it will go anywhere from 600rpms to 1.2krpms. and that is in PARK.

now im not certain that it is my tranny. but any suggestions would be extremly HELPFULL!!!

check for vacuum leaks.
is the CEL on?

well, perhaps you tranny filter needs to be change
