hey iam doing the windstar upper intake swap. we have prity much found a fix for all major porblems, but were working with the iac mount now. all the brackets are at my firends house and it hopfully will be on with in a week or two if i can find some time, and while i was at it, i picked up a gt tb. hear r some pics... oh and btw, an sct xcal will be hear next week.
what are the things that go into one of those swaps? i would like to do one on my car in my automotive class

well, they acutaly make a kit for it, but it is quiet pricy at 400bucks. so far this has been about 35bucks. anyway you have to lower the egr mount, make a remote iac, move throttle cable, and a few other little tweeks. its funny your an automotive student, cause so am i, and honestly id really wouldnt do it at school. if i were u, which iam doing, id find a few other v6ers and do the swap with them.

did the gt t.b. bolt right up ? and did you have to modify it ? , when i did this i had to modifly the windstars t.b. to work backwards , and is it bigger than a windstar t.b. ? ps clean it and paint it black it will look way better

Man, that's a good idea!! I hadn't noticed that you painted that. I'll be sure to do that myself when I put mine in.
I've seen the windstar thread before. Pretty sweet if I do say so myself. The search feature is so useful, lol. That rear seat delete really cleans up the back. I like how you did that. Is that a 10 lb bottle in the back? Gives me an idea of how it will look in the future. Interesting threads.
well, yea, it just bolted right on there, and yes its upsidedown, but still works the same way. now as far as modding it, the only mod u have to do is, fill in the gap above the throttle body on the top of both the windstar and stock intake. so it will only work if you do a remote iac set up. and it is just barely bigger then the windstar intake, but it should all work out in the end... o yea, and lookie what i picked up. 93 tune, and it works great, and no updates on the intake so far, another week or so...
