You know man, there's risk involved with just about everything you do. But, I've heard that you shouldn't go above a 75 shot on a stock 3.8, so I don't think you'll have too much of a problem with a 50 shot.
Funny you should ask about a 50 shot. I do not suggest putting a dry shot on your car because you have to rely on the MAF to add gas while you're spraying. This just happened to me yesterday which I posted on the other site. Here is what happened......
My Rant:
I just got back from the track with the '01. I was in line waiting to run, and a kid came up to me and asked if my car was a V6. Of course I agreed, but then he asked me why my car is so fast. I told him I had nitrous on it, and he said he did as well, but his car wasn't as fast as mine. I told him that he can come over when I'm done running and we can talk then. He ended up bringing his car over to show it off. Come to find out he is running a dry 50 shot with no tune, stock platinum plugs, and the dry shot is hooked up after his MAF. He paid someone to do install the kit, and they never questioned him about it. I then asked when he is pushing the button because he doesn't have a window switch. The answer? "Uh, I don't know." He wants me to work on his car, but I told him to never use the nitrous until he gets the car properly tuned. He was worried about spending money because he was young, but I told him it is better to pay now rather than buying and installing a new motor later.....
go wet, get 1step colder non-platinum plugs, get a window switch, wot switch, and get it dynotuned. (there's more to it than that, but those are the basics)
assuming your motor is healthy, a 50shot should be fine.

+1. In order to run a dry shot, you need to spray the MAF. I just don't think it is a good idea to rely on the MAF to add fuel......
Got a question for you shiner. I saw where someone had used multiple foggers with a windstar intake. Would that be more effective than one single fogger in the intake tube? I've noticed that you have the single fogger on you 01 in a different thread.
That would be a direct-port nitrous shot. It is more efficient than just spraying through the throttle body. You have proper funneling into each cylinder.....
I might go that route someday, but Kirk's car is the next to come out with it, and my motor won't be done until we finish building Henry's drag car......

That's what I was thinking. I will most likely go the extra mile and do that whenever I put a nitrous system in myself. I guess that motor of yours will never be done...but then again I guess nothing is ever perfect and thus nothing is ever complete.... And that you all probably break a lot racing must have something to do with that as well. (sorry, my bad)

No, no, no. I will be building a 4.2 stroker for my '01 to replace the stock motor. I have most of the parts now, just not the time. It will be ready for next year-no need to push it if Beech Bend is only open 2 more weeks. I'm looking to take another second off my times. It will hold its' own when it is done.....
